We’re Micro, an AI-powered all-in-one tool backed by a16z building a new kind of email experience. This goes far beyond AI-generated summaries and responses in the same old Gmail UI that hasn’t changed in 20 years - we’re reimagining everything from the ground up.
Our tiny team has built product at Google and founded venture backed startups funded by some of the best investors.

📽️ We are looking for a part-time videographer to help us tell the story of Micro - especially around product updates and and big launch announcements.
This role is ideally in New York remote is fine for the right candidate.

🤓 Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video content for announcements, releases, social, and behind-the-scenes brand moments
- Translate complex product ideas into clean, compelling visual stories that pop on X, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
- Collaborate with the founder on scripting, style, and editing to ensure videos feel brand-aligned and high quality
- Move fast: we’re a very content-forward company—our past announcement videos have driven hundreds of thousands of impressions and earned organic pickup from top industry voices
- Bring creative ideas to the table—we want someone who can push us to go bigger, funnier, sharper, and weirder
- Work 1-1 with the Founder/CEO on every project to ensure its a success
👩‍🎓 Qualifications
- A strong portfolio of past video work—especially if it includes product storytelling, launch announcements, or founder-led content
- Skilled in shooting, lighting, and editing (bonus for motion graphics or animation experience)
- Deep intuition for internet-native storytelling—understand what plays well and why
- Comfortable working fast and flexibly—can spin up high-quality edits in short timelines
- Passionate and obsessive about your craft—you sweat the details, move fast, and sometimes find yourself working late because you want to. You get things done.
- Comfortable in a startup environment with high expectations and low structure
